In celebration of Staff Appreciation Week, ROAR rolled out the red carpet for our incredible elementary school staff with this year’s theme: “Lights, Camera, Appreciation!” Throughout the week, we celebrated the dedication, care, and hard work that our teachers and staff bring to our school community each and every day. ROAR hosted its final Café ROAR of the 2025–2026 school year. Families gathered to share reflections on the current school year as well as their ideas and hopes for summer activities and the year ahead. With Staff Appreciation Week approaching, families also took time to express what they value most about EL Haynes and its dedicated staff. ROAR completed its six-week basketball program, providing students with an exciting opportunity to build their skills and confidence on the court. Students in the lower grades focused on fundamental techniques such as passing, defense, and shooting. And, our upper-grade students continued developing their abilities, including ball handling, man-to-man defense, and overall team play. Students and their families explored hands-on experiments and interactive activities designed to spark curiosity and inspire learning in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. ROAR successfully held its first three-week Volleyball Clinic at the E.L. Haynes Middle School gym! Students in grades 2–5 learned and practiced fundamental volleyball skills such as serving, passing, and setting. We are grateful to our coaches, volunteers, and students for their enthusiasm and dedication, and for the opportunity to introduce volleyball to young athletes in our school community.
